I am Melody Marquez, an enrolled member of the Tohono O’odham Nation. I was born in Phoenix Arizona and lived most of my adult life in Portland. I have three amazingly courageous children; two adult sons and a daughter.

My mission is to spread cultural awareness and appreciation for the Native American community by showcasing my resilience through my designs.

Ribbon skirts are worn by Native American people to represent themselves, our communities and individuality. We celebrate our rich heritage.

Colors and patterns can provide freedom for one’s individuality to express and explore our cultural medicines and traditional practices.
